Drug & Alcohol Course (TLSAE)

1. Who needs to take the Drug and Alcohol course (TLSAE)?
The state of Florida requires you to take the drug and alcohol course if you have never had a regular drivers license in any state or county. This course is also required for anyone under 21 years old that has received a DUI suspension before a hardship license can be issued.
2. Is the certificate of completion included in the price?
Yes! We have a flat price that includes everything. You'll be able to immediately download your certificate of completion as soon as you're done. However, we'll let the DMV know that you completed the course. So, the certificate is primarily for your records.
3. Do I have to take the course all at once?
Nope. One of the great things about an online course is the ability to take it whenever you want. We'll keep track of the time you spend in the course and you can start and stop as often as you'd like.
4. Is this course approved by the state of Florida?
Our course has been approved by the state of Florida (FLHSMV) for all 67 counties. This means that no matter where you live, ALL Florida residents interested in the TLSAE can choose our course!
5. What are the steps I need to take to get my permit or license?

Driver's License/ Learner's Permit Test

1. How can I study for the Permit Test?
The Permit Exam is actually based on the Florida Handbook, not the Drug and Alcohol Course so it is best to study from that. We offer the Florida Handbook Course, which is 100% narrated, has videos, a virtual guide and fun activities that will prepare you for the Permit Test. See below:

1.) Our Florida Handbook Course will help you study for the Permit Test.
2.) Our Unlimited 40 Question Practice Test will help you with practice Test Questions.
2. Can I take the test online?
As long as you are 14½ to 17 years old, you can take the learner's permit test online. If you're 18 or older, you'll have to take it at your local DMV.
3. How long do I have to take the test?
The state requires that you complete the test within 1 hour, but the test is only 40 questions. You can do it!
4. What happens if I don't pass on my first try?
Unfortunately, if that happens, you'll have to study and purchase the test again when you're ready to retake it. Sometimes, the questions can be tricky. To better prepare, consider taking our Florida Handbook comprehensive prep course!
5. What do I do after passing?
Once you've passed the test, we'll let the DMV know. All you'll need to do is go to the DMV to get your license (assuming you've also taken the drug and alcohol course).
6. How soon can I go to the DMV after passing the test?
We recommend waiting 24-72 hours for it to update with the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

New Driver Preparation

1. What is the Florida Handbook Course?
This optional course is a comprehensive preparation course for anyone who needs to take their learner's permit/driver's license exam. The test questions on the exam come from the Florida Driver's Handbook; this course covers everything from the manual. The course is narrated, with fun activities and videos throughout. This course is also great for people who just want a refresher on Florida's road rules!
2. I bought the Florida Handbook Course in a bundle, do I have to take it?
This course is completely optional. If you want to take it, we're sure that you'll find it helpful. But if you don't want to take any of it, or only want to take a few chapters, that's alright too!
3. Does the Handbook Course cover everything I need to know to pass my driver's license test?
Yes! Our course covers the entire Florida driver's handbook (where all of the test questions come from). The course is fully narrated and includes a bunch of fun activities and videos, too!
4. Do you offer any practice tests to help me prepare for my permit/driver's license test?
Absolutely! You can take our 40 question, unlimited practice test. Questions are pulled from a test bank with over 500 questions and you can take it over and over again whenever you want.
5. What if I fail the practice test?
If that happens, we just suggest taking the practice test again! After all, practice makes perfect. If you'd like to explore another way to prepare for the exam, you can also read the Florida Driver's License Handbook, or take our comprehensive Florida Handbook Course.
