What is the legal driving age in Florida?

Question: What is the legal driving age in Florida?

Answer: 15 years old. This is the youngest age that a learner's permit can be obtained.

Getting your learner's permit is as easy as 1-2-3!

If you are at least 15 years old, you can get your learner's permit after completing the TLSAE (traffic law and substance abuse course) and taking the Class E knowledge exam (permit test). Although driving is legal once a learner's permit is obtained, there are several rules that need to be followed. With a learner's permit, drivers always need to have a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old in the front passenger seat. The young driver is only allowed to drive during daylight hours during the first three months, and until 10 PM after that.
