2. Can I elect traffic school and pay my fine online?
Yes! Click here to elect traffic school and pay your citation.

3. Can I pay my ticket and elect traffic school later?
No. If you want to elect traffic school, you have to elect it at the same time as when the ticket is paid. Also, before you start taking a traffic class, your court needs to know what you have chosen to do.

4. Do I have to take the course all at once?
No. You don't have to take the course all at once. You can leave and come back at anytime that is convenient for you.

5. What is traffic school for, and who needs to take it?
Traffic school is beneficial for anyone, but most people that take it do so to prevent points from being assessed against them when they get a ticket for civil traffic infractions (such as speeding). But you can also take it to get an insurance discount. Some traffic infractions actually require you to take a basic driver improvement course, so be sure to read about those here.

6. Do I qualify for an insurance discount by taking this course?
If you're interested in attending our program for the sole purpose of brushing up on your skills and getting a small discount on your insurance, we can help! See more information on taking a driver improvement course for an insurance discount.

7. Do you have any tips on how to choose a traffic school?
There are several things you should consider when you try to pick a traffic school, especially since there are so many options! We've put together a traffic school guide that discusses some of the important aspects you should pay attention to, such as location, price and reviews, before you make your choice.

8. What sets you apart from everyone else?
Our online courses are engaging and fun since they incorporate videos, animations and more. View our demo! Plus, for no additional charge, you can download your certificate of completion.

9. How do I prevent points from being assessed against me?
By taking a traffic course, of course! Driving school can prevent points from being assessed against you, which will also prevent your insurance from increasing, too. Learn more about avoiding points on your license.

10. I’m not very computer savvy, will it be hard for me to take an online course with you?
Our course is simple and easy to navigate, so it’ll be a breeze for anyone—regardless of your experience with computers.

11. How do I find my citation number?
Click here to learn how to read your traffic citation.

Driver Improvement Course (BDI)

1. How long is the basic driver improvement/defensive driving course?
Our course is a minimum of 4 hours as required by Florida law. However, since it is a self-paced course, some students may ultimately spend more time than that.

2. Is this course approved for a traffic ticket point election?
Our course is currently approved by the FLHSMV to provide our defensive driving/basic driver improvement course for citations in Hillsborough County ONLY. See us on the approved provider list.

3. Do I have to take the course in one sitting?
Nope! One of the benefits of taking our online defensive driving (basic driver improvement) course is that you can log in and out of the course whenever you want. We’ll save your spot for the next time you log in.

4. How do you know I’m the one taking the course and not someone else?
It’s a crime to have someone else take the course for you, so hopefully you wouldn’t even consider it. But, throughout the course, you will intermittently be asked personal questions that only YOU could answer to verify this.

5. Do I need a printer to take the program?
Absolutely not! You can take the course with or without a printer connected. Once you’re done with the course, you can save your certificate and email it to someone who has access to a printer. Alternatively, you could get it printed from a FedEx, Office Depot, etc.

6. Will I need to download videos or anything while taking the course?
All of our videos and course content are within a specially designed eLearning framework, which requires no downloading. The only thing you will download is the certificate of completion at the end.

7. Can I start taking the course immediately?
Yes! As soon as you finish the registration process, you will be able to get started.

8. What does your traffic school cover?
Our course has 10 chapters. Check out our course topics

9. If I am not a resident of Hillsborough County, but received a traffic citation there, can I take your course?
Of course! As long as you received the citation in Hillsborough County, you can make the traffic school election with the Hillsborough clerk’s office and take our course to satisfy the requirement.

Traffic School Certificate of Completion

1. How will I get my certificate of completion?
Once you complete the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate of completion. No delay, and no extra price to pay!

2. How long does it take for me to get my certificate of completion?
Once you complete the course, you can immediately download the certificate of completion (to be delivered to the clerk’s office). However, it can take between 24-72 hours before the FLHSMV has updated their records to include your traffic school completion status. So, give yourself at least that much time before you take your certificate of completion to your county clerk so the clerk can verify your completion status. More information.

3. Help! I'm at the county/DMV and they're having a problem verifying my course completion.
If it has been longer than 72 hours since you downloaded your certificate of completion and your county clerk or local DMV (depending on your situation) is having trouble verifying course completion with the state, call 850-617-2000.

4. My license is cancelled and I completed your course to be able to have it reinstated. How long do I have to wait?
In the event that your license is cancelled, you can call 850-617-2000 to have your completion status expedited. This is only applicable if your license is cancelled.
